Official Rules

The rules that govern every Snaffle Monthly Draw.

Working version — pending legal review.

For anything concerning a Draw, these Official Rules prevail.

1. The Promoter

The Snaffle Monthly Draw (the "Draw") is promoted by Snaffle Draw Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17335913) with its registered office at 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX (the "Promoter", "we", "us").

"Snaffle Raffle" is a trading style and marketing name of Snaffle Draw Ltd. The promotion is a free prize draw with an optional paid entry route. It is not a lottery, a raffle or a gambling product, and no licence under the Gambling Act 2005 is required to operate it.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be aged 18 or over.
  • You must be a resident of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland).
  • You may hold only one Snaffle account. Duplicate accounts, and duplicate Entries from the same person, are void.
  • Employees of the Promoter, its group companies and their immediate families may not enter.

We may ask you to prove your age and identity at any time. If we cannot verify you, your Entries and any prize are forfeited.

3. How to enter

There are four ways to enter each monthly Draw. Every valid Entry — subscription, one-off, free online or free postal — has exactly the same chance of winning.

3.1 Subscription Entries

  • Each subscription tier gives a fixed number of Entries into each monthly Draw, as shown on the subscription page, which forms part of these Rules.
  • Entries are created when the monthly payment succeeds, and are placed into the Draw that is open at that time.
  • If a payment fails and is not completed before the online Closing Date, no Entries are created for that Draw.
  • Pausing or cancelling stops future Entries. Entries already placed into a Draw stand for that Draw.
  • You may hold a maximum of one subscription per person.
  • Subscription Entries have identical odds to every other Entry. The Subscription Terms govern billing and apply in addition to these Rules.

3.2 One-off Entry Bundles

You may buy a single-draw paid bundle. Bundle sizes and prices are shown on the pricing page, which forms part of these Rules. One-off bundle Entries enter the Draw that is open when payment succeeds and have identical odds to every other Entry.

3.3 Free Online Entry

  • Every eligible person may claim one free online Entry per Draw.
  • Sign in to your Snaffle account and claim it before the online Closing Date for that Draw.
  • No purchase, payment or payment details are required at any point — to claim, to be notified of a win, or to receive a prize.
  • A free online Entry has identical odds, identical prizes and identical winner treatment to any paid Entry.
  • Claiming a free online Entry does not affect your right to also enter by post or by paid Entry in the same Draw.
  • Free online Entries are non-transferable, have no cash value, and are void if the account is duplicate, ineligible or obtained by automated means.

3.4 Free Postal Entry

Free entry by post is available to everyone — see section 4.

4. Free Postal Entry

Entering by post is free and gives exactly the same chance of winning as a paid Entry. Postal Entries are linked to a Snaffle account, so create your free account (or sign in) before posting.

On a postcard or sheet of paper, write legibly:

  • your full name;
  • your postal address and postcode;
  • the email address registered to your Snaffle account;
  • the name of the Draw you are entering (e.g. "Snaffle Monthly Draw — March 2027").

Post it at the normal first- or second-class rate (special or recorded delivery does not qualify) to:

Snaffle Free Entry
Snaffle Draw Ltd
124 City Road
London
EC1V 2NX
  • One Entry per postcard or letter. There is no limit on the number of postal Entries any one person may make.
  • Matching. A postal Entry is valid only if, by the postal Closing Date, the email address on it matches an account that meets the eligibility rules. Illegible, incomplete or bulk-submitted Entries are invalid.
  • Postal Closing Date. The postal Closing Date is 4 business days after the online Closing Date.
  • Your record of entry. Valid postal Entries appear in the entrant's account within 5 days of receipt. We do not contact entrants about invalid Entries.

Our mail is received and scanned by a mail-handling provider at our postal address. A postal Entry scanned by our provider within 2 working days after the postal Closing Date is treated as received by the postal Closing Date.

A postal Entry received too late for the Draw named on it is not void — it will be entered into the next Draw instead, matched to the same account.

No purchase or payment is ever needed to enter, to be notified of a win, or to receive a prize.

5. Bonus Entries

General. Bonus Entries have identical odds to all other Entries. They may be voided if obtained through fraud, automation, duplicate accounts or manipulation of a promotion. Offers may be changed or withdrawn for the future, but Bonus Entries already credited will be honoured. Bonus Entries have no cash value and are not transferable.

5.1 Pre-launch registration bonus

All of a member's Entries into the First Draw are doubled if their account was registered before the First Draw date is announced. This applies to every entry route — subscription, one-off, free online and postal. It applies to the First Draw only, and closes to new registrants when the First Draw date is announced.

5.2 First subscription bonus

A person receives +50% Entries on their first-ever subscription month, whichever Draw those Entries are placed into. One per person, for their first subscription month only.

This bonus applies to a person's first-ever subscription payment only and ends immediately after it. It can never be earned again: pausing, cancelling or resubscribing does not requalify you. We may withdraw the offer for future first subscriptions at any time.

5.3 Referral Entries

Members receive a personal referral link. Two referral rewards are available:

(a) Sign-up reward. When someone registers a new Snaffle account through your link and verifies their email address, you receive 25 Bonus Entries, up to a maximum of 10 rewarded sign-ups per member per Draw. The sign-up counter resets each Draw. Before the First Draw date is announced, sign-up rewards are credited to the First Draw.

(b) First-purchase reward. The first time a member you referred pays for Entries — their first subscription month or their first one-off purchase — you receive Bonus Entries equal to 50% of the standard Entries in that purchase, rounded up (welcome, promotional and doubled Entries are not counted). One first-purchase reward per referred member, with no limit on the number of referred members who can each earn you this reward. Rewards are credited to the next Draw still open for Entries at the time they are earned.

Referred member's reward. A member who registered through a referral link receives double welcome Entries on their first purchase (the First-Time Subscriber Bonus is increased from 50% to 100% for that member). Before launch, the Pre-Launch Double applies instead.

Referral Entries are credited only for genuine new members. One account per person applies; duplicate, automated or disposable-address registrations do not count; and rewards where the referrer and referred member share a payment card or verified mobile number are treated as self-referral and voided. Referral Entries obtained through fraud or manipulation may be voided.

6. The First Draw

The prize pool for the first Monthly Draw (the "First Draw") is guaranteed at a minimum of £10,000, regardless of the number of Entries received. If 60% of the First Draw's Net Receipts is less than £10,000, we fund the difference; if it exceeds £10,000, the published formula applies to the higher amount.

The First Draw prize structure at £10,000 is: 1 × £2,500, 5 × £500, 20 × £250 — 26 winners, minimum prize £250, all cash, all must-be-won.

The First Draw date will be announced at least 30 days before its online Closing Date.

7. Draw dates and closing times

One Draw is held each calendar month. Online entries close at 23:59 (UK time) on the published Closing Date. Postal Entries close 4 business days later (see section 4). The Draw takes place approximately 5 days after the online Closing Date, once postal Entries have been processed and the entry list is sealed. The Draw Date for each Draw is shown on the Draw page.

8. Prize pool and how winners are chosen

The Net Receipts for each Draw (see section 13) are allocated as follows: 60% to the Prize Pool, 25% to the Draw's chosen charities, and 15% retained by Snaffle to cover payment fees, running costs and profit. The number of winners at each tier and the value of every prize are set by the published formula applied to the final Prize Pool once entries close, and are locked in before the Draw runs. Any advertised top prize before entries close is an estimate that scales with the actual Prize Pool.

The charity pot (25% of each Draw's Net Receipts) is shared between that Draw's partner charities according to the member vote: 50% to the first-placed charity, 30% to the second-placed and 20% to the third-placed.

Winners are chosen by a publicly verifiable random process. Before the Draw we publish a SHA-256 fingerprint of the sealed entry list together with the locked prize breakdown. The randomness comes from a pre-announced round of drand, a public randomness beacon operated by the League of Entropy, which we neither run nor influence. The seed is SHA-256(fingerprint + drand value), and winners are selected without replacement using a Fisher-Yates shuffle driven by that seed. Every valid Entry — subscription, one-off, free online, free postal or bonus — has an equal chance of winning. Anyone can re-run the process and reproduce the same winners; the full method is on our Transparency page.

9. Notification and payment of prizes

Winners are notified by email at the address on their Snaffle account (or, for postal entrants, at the email address written on the entry) within 5 working days of the Draw. Prizes are paid by bank transfer to a UK account in the winner's name within 28 days of us verifying the winner's identity and bank details. No fee is charged to notify or pay any winner.

All winners, including free postal entrants, must complete age and identity verification before any prize is paid. Proof that you are 18 or over and evidence of identity will be required. Prizes cannot be paid until verification is complete.

If we cannot contact a winner or verify their identity within 90 days of the Draw, the prize will be forfeited and rolled into the next Draw's Prize Pool.

10. Errors and faults

  • If a fault or error affects the fairness or integrity of a Draw, we may (acting reasonably) declare the affected part void and re-run the selection using the same sealed entry list.
  • If a Draw cannot run at all, entrants choose between rolling their Entries into the next Draw or a refund of paid Entries.
  • If a prize amount is displayed in error, the published formula — or, for the First Draw, the guarantee in section 6 — governs the prize payable.
  • Duplicate Entries created in error may be voided. Entrants keep at least what they paid for or validly claimed.
  • Each Entry has a unique entry number and each prize is drawn to a single entry number, so ties are not possible. An entry number can win only one prize per Draw.
  • Entries that are duplicated, unpaid, refunded, charged back or obtained in breach of these Rules are void.

11. Publicity, cancellation and refunds

Publicity. By entering the Draw you agree that, if you win, we may publish your first name, town of residence and the amount won. You are not required to take part in any further publicity and we will always ask before using your full name, photograph or story.

Cancellation and changes. We may cancel, suspend or amend the Draw if events outside our reasonable control make it necessary. If we do, we will publish notice on snaffledraw.com.

Refunds. Paid Entries are non-refundable once they have been placed into a Draw. You will receive a full refund if we cancel a Draw, or if we void your Entries because of our error. This matches clause 6 of our Terms of Use.

12. Complaints and disputes

Complaints: email hello@snaffledraw.com — we acknowledge complaints within 5 working days.

These Rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

13. Definition — Net Receipts

"Net Receipts" for a Draw means all sums paid for Entries into that Draw, less any VAT or other sales tax we are required to account for on those sums. All Entry prices shown on the site are inclusive of any applicable VAT.

Every allocation in these Rules that is expressed as a percentage — the Prize Pool, the charity share and the amount retained by Snaffle — is calculated on the Net Receipts for that Draw. A plain-English worked example is on our where every £1 goes page.
